Over the course of years, I have had the pleasure of reviewing many promising foundations. Some are so so, some are great and some a truly outstanding. People who know me personally will know that I like to experiment with different kinds of quality brands but as I am quite sedentary, usually coming back to the same base products for my flawless face base. In general, this would mean using a BB cream or CC cream as my go-to foundation.
CCâ stands for âcolor correctingâ and âBBâ stands for âbeauty balm.â Both provide coverage, hydration, and a multitude of other skincare benefits. However, CC creams typically have a more lightweight texture, offer fuller coverage, and are formulated with anti-aging ingredients including SPF. CC+ Cream is made with broad-spectrum physical sunscreen, which creates a physical barrier on your skin to deflect UVA and UVB rays. Good to know; physical sunscreen is great for all skin types, even sensitive!
The It Cosmetics product range is developed by plastic surgeons and dermatologists and is the nr.1 CC Cream in America. I have been trying various CC+ foundations such as the CC+ illuminating foundation full-coverage cream with an UVA / UVW SPF 50, the oil matte version with an UVA/ UVB SPF 40, and the regular coverage cream with an SPF 50. The foundation, concealer, and camouflage in one are all true miracle workers. They contain a hydrating anti-aging serum and, are infused with skincare benefits such as hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and vitamins. (32 ml | ⏠39,95)
If you are looking for full coverage this is exactly what youâll want, especially as the foundations still have this great luminosity to them and, can be blended into absolute sheerness. The âeverythingâ foundation also covers dark circles, but you can also try the highly recommended âBye Bye Under Eyeâ, a full-coverage anti-aging waterproof concealer. I am pretty awestruck by the coverage and blendability. It promises to cover redness, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, birthmarks, and dark spots. You should review the several videos on the It Cosmetics website to see the difference for yourself. (⏠26,50)
If you think Laura Mercierâs renowned Translucent Powder is amazing, you might want to try Bye Bye pores Poreless Finishing Airbrush powder. (⏠30,05) This universal (yes, even for darker tones skin tones like mine) powder is extremely soft, luminous, and sets the foundation perfectly. The powder utilizes real silk to make your pores disappear from view, and hydrolyzed collagen to smooth away the look of wrinkles. Itâs truly one of a kind. Airbrushed perfection in a jar. Do I need to say more?! J
