During a recent business trip to London, I had the pleasure of meeting the couturier, perfumer, and founder of the perfume and candle range: Marc-Antoine Barrois at his Piccadilly Arcade London boutique. Marc-Antoine has a passion for perfumery that began in his early thirties when he met perfumer Quentin Bisch. A new chapter in life as his first love and devotion was centered around Men’s Haute Couture since 2009, offering highly contemporary service in his Parisian workshop making men’s dreams come true in creating tuxedos, capes, and coats in high-end fabrics.
In 2016 Marc-Antoine launched his very first perfume: B683. A perfume that is referred to as happiness in a bottle with ingredients such as leather and sensual spice, blending timeless elegance with a touch of fantasy and avant-garde flair. You’ll find Saffron and Nutmeg in the top, Amber, Violet Leaf, and Musk in the heart, and ingredients such as Oak Moss, Patchouli, and Sandalwood in the base. Three years later Barrois launched Ganymede. A sophisticated genderneutral fragrance with notes that beautifully blend together and make my perfume heart sing with ingredients such as Tangerine and Saffron at the top, Osmanthus and Violet in the heart, and Musk and Patchouli in the base. in 2020 Ganymede perfume won the “Perfume Extraordinaire” award from the Fragrance Foundation UK, and I can understand why.
Marc-Antoine recently launched his third candle: N°IV, an hommage to the address of the 4 Piccadilly Arcade London boutique that invites you to close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by the charm of an enchanted world. You will not regret it. (220 g. | £ 60)
