Never been much of a tourist in my own city, but I am really getting the hang of it. The Hoxton, Amsterdam opened its doors on Herengracht in July 2015. It houses 111 rooms spread across 5 floors. An easy like Sunday evening in a comfortable outfit heading to one of the nicest and most trending city hotels ‘du moment’: Hoxton.
Remember the name and remember it well. Find high end service with an eye for details which starts in the lobby, cocktail den and lobby bar when entering the building, to superb dining possiblities at the restaurant Lotti’s run in partnership with Soho House & Co.
I’ve developed a thing for 5th floors as I seem to be staying on at least the 5th floor and up when travelling. (#FifthFloorStuff / Instagram)
In this case my fifth floor room comes with a fluffy bed and cushions that make you feel right at home. In the designed rooms you will find everything you need for a super comfy stay, from the mattresses to the rainmaker showers.
And then, there’s free Wi-Fi, an hour of free international phone calls, fresh milk, tea and coffee, water and a breakfast bag drop filled with OJ, granola pot and banana. How’s that for a very good morning on a 5th floor doorstep?
All the hotels are designed to look and feel different, inspired by the buildings they are in and the neighborhood they are part of. Booking a trip to Amsterdam for a visit to the Hoxton hotel has never been so inviting. I think they did a great job but you’ll have to go and find out…
