Le Rouge Français Vegetal Colour Make-up Brand

Le Rouge Français is the first vegetal colour make-up brand that is vegan certified offering the only expertise of its kind as an alternative to chemical pigments: plant‑based colour. As a global pioneer they use plant pigments to color the make-up products by using hundreds of dye plants, selected for their unique colouring qualities and biological benefits. Think madder, sorghum, indigo, Corsican chestnut, and Damask rose helping to protect you are your skin.

I had the pleasure to review a few of the remarkable products such as the lip balm, mascara,  creme blush, lip nectar and lipstick. The Lip Balm contains 100% naturally-derived nourishing ingredients, probiotics, hyaluronic acid and hemp oil. It’s inspired by Icelandic techniques for protecting skin from the cold of the Fjords.(€ 45) The lip oil is a dry oil that has all the benefits while keeping your lips hydrated without the greasiness. It contains coconut, jojoba, sweet almond and argan oil. (€ 28)

The lip & cheek balm in color 210 is a bright floral rose which I love. The vegetal color comes from madder roots known for its saturated tinting power. The lip & cheek balm comes in four skin complementing colors and contains shea butter, coconut, jojoba, apricot and castor oil.(€32)

The beautiful lipstick range comes in 16 shades and holds somewhere between a balm and a lipstick. Zaatar (color nr.35) is a dusty pink which I paired with the lip & cheek balm to increase the intensity and staying power. It also contains shea butter, apricot, sunflower and castor oil to name a few.

The mascara is a keeper. The jet black color gives an opaque finish while optically lengthening the lashes due to the bristle. The plant-based color is extracted from indigo and sorghum, and combined with skincare. It can be used for even the most sensitive eyes.(€ 40)

Le Rouge Français provided a promising and interesting way of applying color to your face by using plant pigments. You will love it and your skin will too.
