You might remember this post from last year. A lot can happen in a year, and it has in a good way. When reading this post a smile appeared on my face as the products below are still one of my favorites. Have a fabulous new years eve, and keep these products and tips in mind when creating your party look.
Depending on where you’re going the question what to wear for ‘New Years Eve’ rises every year. Or maybe an even better question, what to wear or not to wear, make-up wise that is. When it comes to make-up it all starts with healthy looking skin. A few of my favorite products to have skin looking dewy prepped and radiant is the EGF serum and Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic crème. Magic indeed.
A little closer to home I was introduced to the renewed Essential Shock Intense Line by Natura Bissé (from 59€) The line helps to restore the hormonal balance and works wonders for skin that can use that extra boost. The line contains five products for which the anti-aging firming serum is my very favorite product as it stimulates cell renewal. (30 ml / 185€) The brand Perricone is on top of things when it comes to eye crème . The recently launched eye therapy nourishes the skin intensely with hyaluronic acid and addresses deep set lines and color differences around the eyes. An eye therapy you don’t want to miss out on as it brightens the area around the eyes.
Let the sparkle begin… When it comes to make-up New Year’s eve asks for that extra sparkle. Let your eyes do most of the talking. Aim for a flawless looking complexion with a primer, a foundation that suits your skin tone and a matching concealer. Remember racoon eyes are a no-go. You want your eye make-up to stay put, so please use an eyebasic before applying you’re eye make-up. As a color base I love to use a caviar stick by Laura Mercier or a pro Longwear paint pot by M.A.C. Cosmetics. It comes in several colors and it’s very easy to use. I apply it all the way up to the eye crease.
To add some depth I always apply a complementing eye shadow. Find you best color here. Now you can add a shimmer eyeshadow. To make it stay put use another crème base or gel like Duraline that transforms every eye shadow into a liquid gel structure. Line the under eye area for that intense and sexy gaze before you add a few coats of mascara. You could even add a few festive feathers if you really want your eyes to stand out. M.A.C. Cosmetics and Backstage have great ones. Oh, and nailpolish. The latest OPI collection is festive and will sparkle up a nail or two.

I love the red pout, a mix of colors I used on a model during a shoot in the last picture. The higlighter (which is a must) is the Peach Mosaic Shimmer Bloc by Laura Mercier. At this moment I am madly in love with Candleglow Sheer Perfeting Powder. A see -through Magic Glow in a packet. New years eve anyone?
This yeat you might wat to add my very own make-up palette: #InglotxAmandaRijff Find out the best way to apply the products HERE
