The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a truly unique award-winning family-run hotel nestled between the majestic mountains and the azure Atlantic Ocean. Perfectly located at the start of the Garden Route and yet close to Cape Town’s best beaches and vibrant downtown highlights.
Right from the moment you drive up your car to the entrance you feel indulged with splendid luxury and breath taking views. If you don’t feel like driving, which happens occasioanally and you’re bored of sitting in the backseat, why not travel with the hotel’s helicopter?
Privacy and lots of hideaways are offered in the approx 70 luxury rooms 5-star boutique hotel with with unrevealed equipment and services that include a private cinema. The luxury rooms and suites overlook the mountains or the sea, regardless the direction you face, the views are absolutely stunning.
The 5-star boutique hotel overlooks luminescent marine reserve and has the longest hours of sunshine in Cape Town. I took full advantage from the view whilst having a bubbly on the terrace and stare the remarkable Atlantic ocean sunset.
Just in time for a romantic dinner at the Azure Restaurant. From delicate fresh oysters to home made traditional South African Rye bread to mouthwatering tuna, catch of the day, the executive chef Christo Pretorius makes every dish a true journey. Among the courses are Beatrice Tollman’s, President and founder of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, favorites which are published in “A Life in Food”.
But don’t expect to just draw up, you’ll have to book in advance because it’s incredible fine dining and the restaurant is extremely popular with both travelers and locals. From the fine dining experience to the legendary Leopard Bar to enjoy a cocktail, this is the place to call it a day.
SPA
The Twelve Apostles Spa is another facility to get yourself truely spoiled. The spa consists of a number of inside pools incorporating water jets at the optimal temperature for rebalancing your body’s metabolism. Including a unique Salt Water Floatation Pool which claims that just 20 minutes is equivalent to a full two hours of sleep.
Furthermore treatments are offered in two outdoor airconditioning cooled private rooms. The signature B| Africa massage, where I was spoiled with, will nourish your body, heart and soul. Rose quartz, the stone of love, is used to add positive energy, enhance compassion and forgiveness and balance the upper four chakras, easing emotional balance.
