Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is stepping into a time machine this season by settling down in the Ottoman Empire with the lovely French Trudon. The chef and pastry chef of the five-star hotel Waldorf Astoria took a deep dive into the history of Cire Trudon by smell and taste. The result is a nice selection of savory and sweet delicacies, inspired by greats from history.

Expect beautiful appetizers like the salmon and cucumber, a unique variation of the Scotch egg, a vol-au-vent with truffle, and a homemade brioche bun with foie gras and apple. The experience continues with an edible candle made from apple, lemon, ginger, and mint, inspired by Abd El Kader.
