In the past I was not so fond of pallets. Why? Because there is only just one or two colors you tend to use and the rest just sits there because the colors don’t work. Nowadays the pallets seem to get better and better. From a make-up artist point of view I still prefer the eye shadows you can choose and then click them into a custom compact. The Sisley palettes (€ 69) have beautiful pigments, can be worn alone or blended for what I call a sunrise effect. From dark to light, starting at the lashline. Especially the Mystery that contains blue’s and greys are my most favorite.
To increase intensity I have used a caviar stick by Laura Mercier in Sapphire just along the lash line. After fading it out with a smudge brush I added the ‘Gun’ the metal grey and added the mystery blue in the crease. To soften the darker colors I blended the two lightest shades, (light grey and soft yellow) to create the sunrise effect. The structure of the shadows are velvety and has a subtle sparkle to it. You can even apply it with your finger for just a touch of color.
Phyto lip twist launched Pretty new colors (€35) for us to add to our collection. They come in three pretty shades: Chestnut, Candy and Coral. My favorites in Candy and Coral add that little extra without overdoing it. This round let your eyes do most of the talking.
