A perfect moment to (re)introduce myself.

My name is Amanda Rijff. British-born, with Jamaican heritage, and raised between the UK and the Netherlands.

From a young age, I’ve been mesmerised by faces, their architecture, character and the unspoken language they communicate. Reading a face in seconds has become second nature. It is also where my fascination with beauty began: not as a pursuit of perfection, but as a language of identity, presence and self-expression.

I am an Author, Beauty & Lifestyle Editor, Master Make-up Artist, Beauty & Scent Strategist and Consultant. For over 18 years, I have worked at the intersection of beauty, perception and presence, exploring how colour, texture, scent and technique influence the way we see ourselves and are perceived by others.

With more than 16,000 faces of experience, my perspective on beauty has been shaped as much by people as by products. My early career included roles as Account Manager and Head of Artistry for Laura Mercier, followed by my work as a buyer for SKINS in the Benelux and Ibiza. Experiences that sharpened my eye for quality, craftsmanship, innovation and performance.

Today, my work extends beyond make-up artistry. I write about beauty, lifestyle, fragrance, fashion, art and culture, bringing together industry knowledge with a broader cultural perspective. I am the author of Flawless and Innerlijke Schoonheid, a jury member of the Dutch Beauty Awards and Coiffure Awards, and a founding member of the Harper’s Bazaar Business Club. As a consultant, I advise international beauty and luxury brands on strategy, storytelling and inclusivity.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: you don’t need to be flawless to be unforgettable.

Here, I share honest reviews, expert insights, discoveries and cultural reflections — creating an editorial space for clarity, craftsmanship and elevated self-expression.

FABELISH is not simply another beauty platform. It is where my curiosity, experience and editorial perspective come together.

AMANDARIJFF.COM is my professional hub for make-up artistry, private and trending masterclasses, consultations, public speaking and education.

Across both platforms, my work is ultimately about the same thing: helping people understand what makes them distinctive, and giving them the tools, language and confidence to express it.

Outside of work, I’m inspired by travel, wellbeing, fitness, nutrition, style, reading and culture. These are the things that continually feed my curiosity and creative world.
