Gucci Westman’s signature look is healthy and dewy skin with a touch of natural-looking color. Not only does Westman Atelier’s foundation cover imperfections, but it also contains hard-working ingredients to help achieve a flawless complexion even after you remove your makeup. Infused with vegetable-derived Squalane, Camellia Seed Oil, and Coconut Oil, this creamy formula evens tone while soothing inflammation and restoring moisture. Berryflux Vita and Phytosphingosine are added to help improve suppleness, elasticity, and radiance.
Westman has been working to expand the shade range since the brand first launched two years ago. I am so happy that Gucci extended a range of foundation colors, so many more women of color can enjoy a foundation stick that looks like a second skin.
See the numbers below to find your match:
Atelier X – Butterscotch neutral undertone
Atelier XI – Warm Toffee Caramel
Atelier XI,5 – Deep Tan with golden undertones
The first two are the colors I would wear during wintertime. The darkest tone for my t-zone, the lighter color for my cheeks as my skin is more yellow during the wintry months. Atelier XI,5 works beautifully during the summer period (t-zone)
Atelier XII – Deep Caramel with a slightly neutral undertone
Atelier XIII – A cool rich coffee with a neutral undertone
Atelier XIV – Rich Mahogany (perfect for black women with a red undertone)
Atelier XV – Rich Expresso with a neutral undertone (hello, Alek Wek)
I find the foundation tends to oxidize a little on the skin, meaning it gets a little darker while wearing. It would be advisable to choose your exact color or slightly lighter.
The texture of this stick foundation is slightly richer and balmier than the brand I wrote about HERE, yet the finish is quite similar. What I like about the Westman foundation is that is vegan, free from silicones, parabens, PEGs, talc, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances.
One more highlight:
This highlight stick is one of the easiest ways to create a dewy skin effect, as it blends a soft sheen with Ayurvedic oils that plump up the skin with moisture. Take inspiration from makeup artist Gucci Westman, who applies after moisturizing the skin and before foundation to really give the skin a beautiful, ethereal glow.
For a more “lit” effect, apply it just to the tops of your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, and on the center of your eyelids for a hint of gloss. You can apply it straight from the stick, but we prefer to pat it on with fingertips for a more natural finish. Made with Vitis Vita Grape Extract and Ayurvedic oils, this gel-like formula soothes irritation, nourishes dryness, and encourages natural collagen and Hyaluronic Acid production.
Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Dou Dou and Poppet (and the rest of the range) are absolutely beautiful while nourishing ingredients restore and balance your skin’s moisture levels. They contain Vitis Vita Grape Extract and Ayurvedic oils, this creamy formula promotes the production of Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid.
