I have a soft spot for a perfume that feels like an occasion. Midnight Espresso by Kilian Paris does exactly that. It’s inspired by the energy of an espresso martini and captures that moment when dinner is over but the night is only just beginning.
Part of the new The Cocktails collection, the perfume opens with coffee and rum, moving into chocolate and hazelnut, with bourbon vanilla and siam benzoin lingering on the skin. It’s warm, deep and gourmand, but there is something darker underneath that keeps it interesting.
What I love is that it’s a whole mood: late hours, good music and one more drink before calling it a night. (75 ml | € 145)
