Paula’s Choice was founded by Paula Begoun in 1995, but her journey with skincare and the myths behind the beauty industry started much earlier, when Paula was working at a cosmetics counter where she seemingly felt frustrated about misinformation around skincare. She didn’t want women to go thru the same frustrations and developed Paula’s Choice.
The collection contains powerful skincare products, and is known for using scientifically backed, and highly concentrated active ingredients that are free of perfumes or dyes, to help minimize allergic reactions. It’s not for nothing that throughout the years, Paula’s Choice has gained Cult status and following.
This soothing, milky toner has been my go-to toner for quite some time. The nourishing milky toner immediately hydrates & calms redness or irritated skin, while both strengthening the skin’s barrier and supporting the microbiome to help prevent future sensitivity. The odour free toner contains hyaluronic acid and will leave your skin feeling hydrated and soft

Quite new to the collection is the Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser. It’s a slightly pink coloured gel substance coming from vitamin B12 (also known by its cosmetic name, cyanocobalamin). Cyanocobalamin used in skincare helps to support the skin barrier function, brightens and evens the skin, and promises to help with wound healing and scar reduction, And no, the gel-cream does not leave a pink residue on your skin.
From a make-up artist point of view, I love how the texture is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving a satiny finish, without the pilling a gel-texture often does. It’s not a primer, but a great moisturising base that works well with an SPF, a tinted moisturiser or foundation. Get ready to experience silky soft, hydrated and plumped skin. (50 ML | € 56)
