What does freedom smell like?
According to JUSBOX, it smells like warm skin after a day at the beach, salty ocean air drifting through sun-bleached hair, and the carefree optimism of a California summer that never seems to end.
Long before wellness retreats and digital detoxes became fashionable, California’s surf culture offered its own version of freedom: a life guided by sunshine, spontaneity and the rhythm of the ocean. It was a world where chasing waves was more than a pastime. It was a mindset, a cultural movement and a celebration of living entirely in the moment.

Inspired by the golden age of 1960s surf culture and the feel-good soundtrack of The Beach Boys, Wave of Freedom captures that spirit in fragrance form. Created by master perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, the scent opens with juicy Williams pear, creamy coconut and sparkling pineapple, before revealing warm Sri Lankan cinnamon, earthy Indonesian patchouli and a sensual base of amber and tonka bean.

The result? A sunny, uplifting fragrance that feels like an endless summer. Carefree, nostalgic and really cool. (78 ml | €190)
From June 8 until July 1, discover Wave of Freedom at the JUSBOX pop-up on the ground floor of De Bijenkorf Amsterdam.
