As a make-up artist, I live for those moments when texture, reflection, and emotion collide, and that’s exactly what this collection does. It’s not about sparkle for sparkle’s sake. It’s about sensation.
Wrapped in metallic lilac packaging with hypnotic, marble-like patterns, each piece feels like it belongs in both a sci-fi dreamscape and your make-up bag. The standout products? Moonwave, a weightless, light-reflecting powder that gives skin that glazed, dimensional glow, and a sculptural neutral pink lipstick (€ 42) that looks more like an art object than a tube of color.
In an interview I read, Iris van Herpen said the following about the collection: “There’s this interesting relationship between beauty and hypnosis and the way we get hypnotised by beauty. I’ve been playing with texture, transparency, and light, because those elements can really influence that feeling.”
Iris also said that beauty is a primal language, and that it’s the way how we express who we are, and who we want to be. Fashion and beauty are inseparable. Both are emotional forms of art. I couldn’t agree more.
